Addressed to s. of S. No. 838 repeated to Chungking No. 198 Tokio No. 144 C.-in-C. China Station.

I have seen Naval telegrams on the zubject of requisitioning of the Chinese Customs Vessels now lying at Hong Kong ending with the 34 Commodore's telegram No. 131 Z of 21st December

addressed to C.-in-C. and repeated to the Admiralty. I would request full consideration be given to Coloniel aspect of the question in case local Japanese Consulate enquires as to the position.

(Delayed as message as originally received was indecypherable).
